Oh no, my children have inherited my bad eyes! The other day, while driving with Lucas, I asked for help finding a street sign, and he was worse than I was! He then told me that he has been having trouble seeing the board at school, so I made an appointment for him and Victoria to get their eyes checked. Victoria needed reading glasses three years ago and wore then faithfully for almost a year and a half. She was told that she had improved, but I guess her eye sight has gone bad again. I started noticing that she has had her head in her book while reading, so it was time to get her checked again. Lucas needs to wear his glasses only for board work, watching TV and other things that require distance sight. Victoria has the opposite problem. She can see great far away, but cannot read anything up close. She only has to wear her glasses for close work. Surpisingly, they are both happy about their new glasses. Victoria is happy because she thinks she looks cool. Lucas is happy because he can finally see. He can't believe how well he can see things now! He is continually pointing out all the things he could not read, or never noticed before.

Although your family does not physically know me,I want them to know that they look very 'professional' with their new glasses. Sounds like you are an awesome mother, Jackie, not only for your children but those that visit from abroad...you are a special person!
Luv Vivian your Saskatchewan buddy
